As such, it is inevitable that they, more often than not, turn down your offer to invest in your company after spending an average of 30 seconds on each of your slides.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"viewer-6cjlj\">Should you nevertheless be heartbroken or feel hurt when an investor sends you a resounding NO?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"viewer-1m22b\">Well, it depends!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"viewer-98j8\"><strong>Firstly,<\/strong> ask yourself if you\u2019ve done your homework when targeting investors \u2013 maybe go back to our <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.investornetwork.eu\/post\/knowing-your-investors-tip-n-3\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">tip N\u00b03 \u201cKnowing your investors\u201d.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"viewer-7sduq\">If so, you may still fall short of your target as the investor world is ever changing \u2013 funds close, thesis vary, people change positions &#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"viewer-d9gtl\"><strong>Secondly:<\/strong> Congratulate yourself and thank the investor for giving you an answer as there is nothing worse than being completely ignored and being stuck in limbo. Simply tell yourself that this is one less investor to have on your \u201chope\u201d list and move along \u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"viewer-bbofk\"><strong>Thirdly<\/strong>: the more you brace yourself to the endless possibilities of refusal, the less it hurts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"viewer-7t3kc\">Below I\u2019ve listed some of the most common reasons we\u2019ve come across over the years and those of course are the voiced one.
